All alumni, students, faculty, staff, family, and friends of Athens State University are cordially invited to “Come Together” for the University’s annual Homecoming Celebration and Summer Commencement. This year’s 1960’s inspired dinner celebration will be held Friday, August 3, with Summer Commencement being held on Saturday, August 4. All events will occur on Founders Green.
The Homecoming Celebration will begin at 6:00 pm on August 3 as guests are treated to a complimentary meal of classic Southern favorites catered by Food Fite. Entertainment will be provided by Grammy-nominated Beatles tribute band, “The WannaBeatles”. The concert will begin at 6:30 pm, and during the band’s intermission, guests will be invited to take a tour of the Delmore Brothers Museum located on the bottom floor of McCandless Hall.
Athens State’s Summer Commencement Ceremony will take place at 9:00 am on August 4. In addition to celebrating the Class of 2018, members of the Class of 1968 will participate in the ceremony and be honored for joining the “50 Year Club,” a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the class’s commencement.
