Athens State University’s online Supply Chain Management degree program has been named one of the best in the country by BestColleges.com. Ranked #6 nationwide, the program rose six spots from its place on last year’s list.

Supply Chain Management is one of the fastest growing jobs in the United States economy and a profession that is increasing in demand in the state of Alabama. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that positions in administrative services management will grow 10% between 2016 and 2026.

Athens State’s Logistics and Supply Chain Management program focuses extensively on management information systems that are a key critical enabler of efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness. The program’s faculty, both full-time as well as adjunct, remain active in logistics programs through their leadership of organizations and programs in both the private and public sector. This allows students to understand theoretical aspects of logistics and supply chain management while also gaining a keen understanding of how it is applied in business settings today.

Athens State’s College of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP), and its curriculum complies with the Common Professional Component (CPC) recommended by the ACBSP. Instruction offered by the College of Business is designed to prepare students to become competent and effective professionals in the field of business. College of Business faculty members are able to utilize their first hand industry experience from successful careers in their discipline to further provide a hands-on learning approach for students.
